Summer Showers!

The season may be summer, but the weather doesn't always play by the rules! It's a good idea to have a light weight waterproof coat for the summer so that you don't get too hot, but keep dry when the weather decides it's had enough with sunshine and blue skies.

Hooded contrast duffle coat - Topshop - £65

This duffle coat is from Topshop and is £65. This is the perfect summer coat as the colours are very neutral which means it will go with LOADS of outfits and isn't a gloomy, dark colour for summer. It is mainly a beige colour with a light grey panel which is at the top of the coat and travels around to the back. There sleeves are rolled up which shows off some more grey. Due to the sleeves being rolled up, it gives the coat a more laid back summery look, however the sleeves are still a normal, long length. It is slightly waxed which is a big up and coming trend for jackets and coats. It has little toggle buttons which look very cute. Two large pockets are situated on the front of the coat as you can see from the image. This coat is slightly longer than your average coat and is about thigh length. What makes this coat even more perfect? The hood! For those rainy days, this coat is perfect! Also, this coat doesn't only have to be for the summer, it is a great coat for all year round due to the neutral colours. Whip on a scarf, hat and gloves for winter and this coat will instantly be transformed from your summer rain coat to your winter coat to fight the frost!

Perfect little red rain coat...

Red plastic raincoat - Topshop

This plastic mac is from Topshop and is perfect for summer rainy days. It is quite light weight meaning you won't be too hot but is warm enough for the colder winter months. It is red with navy lining. You can roll up the sleeves on this mac just like i have for a more laid back summery look. It has a hood which is great and is about thigh length. It has two small pockets at the front. This type of coat is great for not only day to day wear but also for festivals as it is plastic and easily cleaned. I got this one last year and it came in Silver, blue and mustard as well as this red one. This year Topshop have a new range of colours in-store including metallic blue which looks great! These coats are perfect for all year round as they are light enough for the summer but are great for the winter with boots and a hat!
